September 2, 2015 by titree No Comment

The township of Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria is home to the Queenscliff Music Festival. Recognised as one of “Tourism Victoria’s” honoured Hall of Fame inductees. It was also nominated as an official Regional Victorian Hallmark Event, and rose to national prominence after being awarded ‘Most Significant Festival and Event’ by Australian Tourism.

Queenscliff is a former 1880’s seaside resort, which is now extremely well known for its Victorian heritage and historical buildings. Located at the entrance of Port Phillip Bay, Queenscliff became an important cargo port in 1841 servicing ships trading in Port Phillip.

Queenscliff has played a large and important military role with Fort Queenscliff being built between 1879 and 1889. Operating as the command centre for a network of forts around the Port.

Queenscliff is a mecca for tourist attractions including its 3 museums, the Queenscliff Historical Museum, the Fort Queenscliff Museum and the Queenscliff Martitime museum.

On the 27th of November 2015 Queenscliff will again, for the 19th year, boost its population of 1416 into the thousands for this spectacular 3 day Music event.

Like all previous festivals, there is a massive lineup for the 2015 Festival. Angus & Julia Stone, 19-Twenty, Benny Walker, John Williamson, Hey Frankie, Hoodoo Gurus, Kate Miller-Heidke and Paul Dempsey to name just a few.

4th release tickets are now on Sale. The prices will increase on November 1st. So if you’re planning a trip to this Festival I strongly recommend you get in fast to snatch up your tickets as the first 3 releases all sold out.

You can purchase your tickets online at the Queenscliff Music Festivals website which is www.qmf.net.au.

The venue is fully licenced, however there will be 2 dry zones in the kids quarter and pavilion stage areas. There will be food to purchase, however the QMF have not as yet stated the stalls that will be at this years event.

Accommodation options are a plenty. There are caravan parks available for camping, and the Festival has camping packages available for Queenscliff Music Festival patrons. There is self-contained accommodation such as us, Ti-Tree Village in Ocean Grove. Only a 15 minute drive to the Festival.
